Music Essay free essay sample
Music has always been a voice for the ages. It is one universal language that we all speak Most people use it to express what they are feeling, some people use it to relate to, everyone enjoys it in one way or another. Thats where my point comes In; there is no doubt that music has changed according to the changes In society. My generations music censorship has changed, the way music is conveyed and the lenience of the music has allowed for the stories being told through the music to change and the depth of the music and the Implications of the music to diversify .Music today is a genuine combination of yesterdays music with an original spin. This hat makes our music worth listening to. One of the defining changes would be that a large percentage of students ages fourteen through seventeen say that Rap and HIP/ Hop are the kind of music they listen to due to Its sudden popularity and admiration of mainstream music. Often times the lives of composers and musician were greatly influenced by the social changes occurring in their time period Haydn later composed Symphony No. 4 in A Major, Tempura Mutant, and as Henry Michaels reinstated the entire title for the symphony as follows, The times change and we change with them. How? As they become worse, so do we, (May 20, 2015). This statement can ring true as describing the period of Heydays life as many wars were occurring as well. As I listened to the Los Angels Chamber Orchestra perform Heydays Symphony No. 64, I loved the way in which the music was both gentle but had several enthusiastic outbursts throughout the orchestration. The second influential classical music composer was Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Mozart like Haydn was also Austrian born, and started as a child Roding beginning piano at the age of four and writing his first composition at the age of five. As he toured Europe performing, he was exposed to a plethora of musical styles. Afterwards Mozart became a court musician for the Archbishop Syllabus but after several years he was released from his service. He then became a freelance musician where he later wrote Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major. This composition was written in Vienna in 1785. While listening to the Los Angels Chamber Orchestra perform Mozart work, felt an emotional connect to the slow movements in the beginning but enjoyed the various progression of movements along the performance. Lastly, Henry Michaels lectured on the classical music composer Felix Mendelssohn who was born in Northern Germany. In juxtaposition to Haydn and Mozart, Mendelssohn was born into an upper-middle class family. Coming from a rich and musically talented family, Mendelssohn started his music career very early and was very well educated and was also considered a child prodigy as well.
